Marnus Labuschagne Left Out from Australian ODI Team Versus India

The Australian selectors have left out Labuschagne from Australia's three-match ODI series against India, with in-form Queensland colleague Matt Renshaw earning a surprise selection.

The 31-year-old has played 68 ODIs and amassed 1,871 ODI runs at an batting average of 34.64, but will now focus on earning a return to the Test side in time for the Ashes starting in Perth on 21 November.

Surprise Inclusion and Other Squad Changes

There have been indications of a improvement in form with a score of 160 for Queensland in the domestic first-class competition this week, while Renshaw made a hundred for the Bulls in the identical match against Tasmania.

Renshaw could to make his ODI debut in the forthcoming series against India after previously being selected in an ODI squad in 2022.

Renshaw has played 14 Test matches with the last coming in India in 2023 but is also hoping for a Test return as Australia look for a solution to their top-order woes.

Pace Additions and Fitness News

Team Announcement Strategy and Schedule
